Compassionate Care for Opioid Recovery
Local, Physician-Led Care for Opioid Use Disorder
At North State Primary Medical Care, we provide in-person medical treatment for opioid use disorder in a private, supportive clinical setting in Chico.
Under the direction of Dr. Edward Wilson, DO, MPH, our program focuses on helping patients safely transition away from opioid dependence while building a stable, long-term recovery plan.
We believe recovery is most effective when it is structured, closely monitored, and grounded in a real doctor–patient relationship.
Why In-Person Treatment Matters
Opioid addiction is not just a behavioral issue—it is a chronic medical condition that alters brain chemistry and physical dependence.
Patients attempting to stop opioids on their own often face:
- Severe withdrawal symptoms (pain, anxiety, insomnia)
- Intense cravings that increase relapse risk
- Difficulty maintaining consistency without medical supervision
An in-person model allows for:
- Direct clinical assessment
- Safer medication initiation and adjustment
- Stronger accountability and follow-up
This hands-on approach improves both safety and long-term outcomes.
Our Office-Based Treatment Approach
At North State Primary Medical Care, we offer a structured outpatient program designed for real-world recovery—not just short-term detox.
